Horse handling and safety
Working around horses carries a real risk of injury to people and animals. Horses are large, can be unpredictable, and may react to touch in unexpected ways, especially in areas of sensitivity or tension. By using any technique you learn from us, you accept that:
- You do so at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety, your horse's welfare and the safety of anyone nearby.
- You will only work with a horse when it is safe to do so, in a suitable environment, with appropriate handling and safety gear.
- You will stop immediately if the horse shows signs of pain, distress or unsafe behaviour.
- You will not use any technique beyond your own experience and skill level.
No guaranteed results
Every horse is different. Changes in posture, movement, comfort or performance depend on many factors outside our control, including the horse's health, history, management, saddle fit, hoof care, riding and how consistently techniques are applied. We do not promise or guarantee any particular result. Testimonials and examples shared by us or our students reflect individual experiences and are not a guarantee that you or your horse will get the same outcome.
Professional practice
If you use what you learn with clients' horses, you are responsible for working within the laws, insurance requirements and professional standards that apply where you practise, including any limits on the services non-veterinarians may provide.
